James Macdonald - Walk in the Word

His Bible-teaching ministry, Walk in the Word, launched on as a radio broadcast in 1997, with the mission of “igniting passion in the people of God through the proclamation of truth.” The radio program is now a daily and online broadcast, with stories from those who’s lives have been forever altered by the gospel coming in from around the country.

What we believe at Trinity Baptist Church:

  1. We believe in one God, eternally existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. We believe that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is God's inspired and infallible Word, and is the supreme standard and final authority for all conduct, faith, and doctrine.
  3. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His premillennial, personal return in power and glory.
  4. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but by willful transgression became sinful and is justly under the condemnation and wrath of Almighty God.
  5. We believe that the only salvation from this guilt and condemnation is through faith in the righteousness and atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this salvation is the free gift of God's love and grace.
  6. We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit and that His ministry is to reveal Christ to men, to convict of sin, to regenerate repentant sinners and, by His presence and power, to sanctify the lives of the redeemed.
  7. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper; that baptism is only to be administered upon profession of faith in Christ, by immersion, thereby declaring our faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior; that the Lord's Supper is only for believers, is to be preceded by faithful self-examination, and is in remembrance of the Lord's death until He comes.
  8. We believe that a New Testament Church is a body of believers, baptized by immersion, associated for worship, service, and the spread of the Gospel of the grace of God to all the world.
  9. We believe that there will be a resurrection of the just and the unjust; the just, having been redeemed by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, to be with Him throughout eternity in glory; the unjust, having died impenitent and unreconciled to God, to eternal condemnation in Hell.

Senior Pastor Richard P. Hagedorn, Jr

A brief personal testimony:

Upon my graduation of secular college in South Carolina, the Lord used certain events in my life to draw me to His word. After understanding the simple truth that I am sinner and needed a savior (Romans 10:13), I bowed my head and received Jesus Christ as my Savior. Immediately the Lord changed my goals, dreams and aspirations towards sharing this wonderful salvation with others. After a deep and long conviction by the Holy Spirit of God, I surrendered my life to preach the Gospel and the work of the ministry. Surrendering is a wonderful thing!

It has been my privilege to be ministering here at Trinity Baptist since 1999. It is interesting how our Lord had a “Jersey boy,” go down south, get saved, send him to the Chicago-land area to be trained and return to the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area to Pastor in his home state. Praise the Lord for his leading! We would hope that the Lord would lead you here also.

I am thrilled to Pastor a multi-cultural and multi-racial Baptist church representative of our local area. I believe Trinity Baptist Church to be similar to the Jerusalem church in the book of Acts. The Bible has the answers for all situations. It is our authority for faith and practice here are Trinity. Our church has sweet people that love the Lord Jesus Christ and the Word of God. We hope the Holy Spirit would lead you here for a visit so that we may serve your spiritual needs.

In Christ,

Richard P. Hagedorn, Jr.
